After earning my B.A. from Yale, I started MY Career as an actor, singer, and drummer.

While performing in New York and touring regionally, I cultivated strong opinions about Shakespearean tragedy, advertising jingles, and the finest oyster happy hours / pie shops / used bookstores across North America. I still do a mean Joanna Newsom impression and — it has been said — a respectable Kermit the Frog.

For three years, I worked as the Literary Manager of Playing on Air, a podcast and public radio show devoted to contemporary audio theater.

During my time as Literary Manager, the company developed and premiered more than 30 new plays, including commissions by Pulitzer Prize winners and emerging writers based across the country.
